24 When there were no watery depths, I was given birth,
when there were no springs overflowing with water;
25 before the mountains were settled in place,
before the hills, I was given birth,
26 before he made the world or its fields
or any of the dust of the earth.
Wisdom again declares herself preeminent, though she is as relevant today as she was at beginning. It is a good thing to honor nature, to be awed by its greatness and inspired by its harmony. But let us not put created thing before creator, in defiance of the wisdom by which we came to be. She has much to teach us, if only we will listen.
