Proverbs 7:13-14

13 She took hold of him and kissed him

and with a brazen face she said:

14 “Today I fulfilled my vows,

and I have food from my fellowship offering at home.

The senseless youth has fallen into her trap, and she wastes no time in taking hold of her quarry. How lucky he fancies himself to be! But hers is a kiss of betrayal, her embrace a gesture of deceit. She is brazen in her speech, shameless in her haste. “Today I fulfilled my vows, and I have food from my fellowship offering at home.” She has made her vows and given her offering, but only as a pretext for her sin. She believes she has pleased God, now it is time to please herself.
